“Initiation” begins with an air of foreboding. Dreary synths and an urgent guitar riff cut between the sound of someone sharply inhaling. The sound was inspired by the famous “The World Is Yours” scene from ScarfaceA press release describes the song as “a soundtrack for uncertain times.”

“Protection,” on the other hand, “digs deeper into their influences and electronic textures.” Entrancing electronic noises create a diverse atmosphere for Moreno’s soft, hypnotic vocals.

Last year, Crosses shared a cover of Q Lazzarus‘ “Goodbye Horses,” and the previous year, they released a cover of Cause & Effect‘s “The Beginning Of The End.”
