Bring My Song to Life (BMSTL) allows anyone to create customized songs as gifts for special occasions, like birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduation, and more. No songwriting experience is required, as the service pairs customers with a professional songwriter and group of musicians to create a song for your occasion.
Chris Erhardt, the Co-Founder of Tunedly and Bring My Song To Life, says the service was created after Tunedly was inundated with requests for personalized music from people who aren’t songwriters. “They were looking for special gift ideas for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, and other special occasions,” Erhardt tells Digital Music News.
“No songwriting skills are necessary. Our team of amazingly talented musicians takes your idea, works with you throughout the creative process, and transforms it into a cherished memory.”
Co-Founder Mylène Besançon says the project is one of the ‘sweetest’ opportunities she’s ever taken part in. “I just love that we can help someone create a heart-felt gift that means as much to the giver as it does to the recipient. The uniqueness of a customized song is truly special.”
How Bring My Song to Life Works
Bring My Song To Life helps create paying job opportunities for working musicians. The Tunedly team launched Bring My Song To Life in 2019 and since then, they have created over 1,000 heart-felt moments for clients to share with their loved ones. Here’s a short breakdown of how the process works:

- Choose between two packages – radio-ready production or demo-style recording
- Fill out the order describing the occasion, musical style, and the story to tell
- Clients can provide an audio sample, but not necessary (child reading a story as an example)
- Songwriters get in touch with the client to discuss lyrics and form a first draft
- Client can review the lyrics and has unlimited revisions until they’re happy
- Once the lyrics are approved, song production starts
- Client receives song as an .mp3 download and with a ‘Personal Story Page’
Each customized piece of music starts at only $189 per song. That price makes customized music gifts affordable for everyone’s budget. Bring My Song To Life uses the same roster of musicians that Tunedly has under contract, so projects are handled quickly, professionally and efficiently.
Erhardt tells Digital Music News that Tunedly and Bring My Song To Life combined have recorded nearly 30,000 tracks since Tunedly’s launch in 2017.
