Bandplay On Young Dolph’s Death, Creating “Major,” Key Glock Update | HNHH’s 12 Days of Christmas
Bandplay is the only producer signed to Paper Route Empire, and in that position, he’s been able to create many a fan-favorite PRE banger with both Young Dolph and Key Glock. Prior to Dolph’s passing, Bandplay worked with the rapper to create "Major," one of Dolph’s biggest singles of his career, back in 2018. From there, Bandplay had an even larger role in producing Dolph’s 2020 album, "Rich Slave," including album opener, "Hold Up Hold Up Hold Up."
Following Dolph’s shocking and deeply saddening death in November 2021, we connected with Bandplay for our final interview in our "12 Days of Christmas" series. The producer not only reflects on the loss of Dolph and the impact the rapper had on him and others, he also talks about connecting with Key Glock initially, his country music production roots, and shares some anecdotes about Dolph.
