The CRS is presenting its second annual Streaming Summit with a focus on music industry streaming and digital education initiatives.

The following was developed in conjunction with Country Radio Seminar (CRS), part of a new partnership with DMN. Stay tuned for more upcoming coverage from CRS, including more info from its upcoming event in February!

This one day, in-person conference offers a laser focus on streaming in the music industry with eight targeted, informative sessions. At least 21 confirmed digital industry speakers will be on hand, along with artist showcases and lunch served. The Streaming Summit was born out of the CRS: The Virtual Experience that took place in February 2021.

Participation in that event was so successful, CRS organizers and agenda committee leadership expanded the program to a full day with a focus on streaming. Country Radio Seminar will return as a live, in-person industry event for 2022, with its broader focus on the music industry as a whole.

Streaming Summit 2022 will provide a proactive, educational experience thanks to greater participation from digital service providers like Spotify. Here’s a quick overview of confirmed sessions that will be available at this year’s Streaming Summit.

  • Streaming Summit Networking Breakfast
  • Introducing Chart-metric
  • Twitch/Live Streaming for Music
  • Music Discovery Through Streaming: Spotify Fan Study
  • Warner Music Nashville Lunch & Performance
  • Talk Data to Me: 2021 in Review
  • Road to the Next Big Thing: The Connected Car

“I can confidently say the amount of talent and wide-reaching expertise found in every session at this summit would be difficult to find under the roof of only one conference,” CRS Streaming Summit Committee Chair Annie Ortmeier told Digital Music News. “Our Streaming Summit team of Sarah D’Hilly, Ali Matkosky, and myself are thrilled with the lineup for 2022 as we align with new partners and new boundary-pushing perspectives, making this day a no-miss.”

Country Radio Seminar remains committed to broadening the appeal of its annual event by expanding its focus on digital, streaming, touring, and spoken word content creators who may target country music consumers. “Country music consumption via streaming platforms saw record-breaking, exponential growth during the pandemic quarantine,” says CRS Executive Director RJ Curtis.

“At the same time, Country continues its dominance as the most programmed music format on terrestrial radio. Thanks to a technological revolution, there are many more seats at the table for stakeholders in our format now.”
