Doja Cat stopped her set at Lollapalooza Argentina to ensure distressed fans got help this weekend.

The incident happened towards the end of the rapper’s set as she was performing “Options.” Doja stops performing and yells “wait” into the mic as the music is stopped. She points into the crowd at a group of people and says they need help.

“I love you guys, I really do,” Doja Cat tells the crowd. “But we can’t have that happening, but I’m not just gonna – as long as somebody’s going out there. You guys over there in that circle that just signaled to me, when everything’s OK you just go like this,” she adds, making a thumbs up sign. “Just do that. Just wait. If it’s not okay, don’t do anything, but once it’s okay, just do something with your hands like this.”

Doja Cat then waited about five minutes for approval from the crowd before she could continue. She told the crowd she won’t keep going if things aren’t good.

“I wanna ask you guys a question,” Doja Cat says to the crowd as she’s waiting. “Does it matter that everybody here gets home safe? Make noise if everybody who needs to get home safe gets home safe. Then you’re on my side, right? That’s all that matters.”

Doja Cat promises the crowd that the pause is not their fault and confirms she will return another time. Once she got the signal to continue, the rapper started singing “Say So,” and the crowd went wild.

“This stuff happens. It’s a lot of people, and people get crushed,” Doja Cat says. “It’s a lot. If you can see from the point of view that I’m seeing it from, it’s a lot of people. It’s nobody’s fault; everybody wants to be here. Do you see what I’m saying? So don’t get sad or upset. I’ll be back. I will, I promise.”
