In his interview, Fike takes readers on his artistic journey, from childhood to his debut full-length, What Could Possibly Go Wrong, to appearing on the second season of Euphoria.

In particular, Fike shared a little insight into the mind of his character on the HBO show, Elliot. “This kid hasn’t really figured anything out; he’s just floating, maybe making money on the side from music,” he says. “At some point, it’s gonna come to this kind of hard end where he has to decide what to do. Fike also admits that filming the show was “rough at times,” but there was a team of people to support him through the process. “HBO had hired this sober coach to be on set to talk to us after, and even before I got the part, [show creator] Sam [Levinson] sat me down and was like, ‘What do we need to do to ensure that this doesn’t become a problem for you?’ They’re very supportive. They’re so great about the safety of the actors, hiring consent coaches for all the sex scenes, or whatever you may call it. I mean, there are quite a few sex scenes…”
