Ed Sheeran and Elton John combine on new festive single ‘Merry Christmas’.
The track has been in the works for some time, with both parties hyping the release on social media.
Shared at Midnight, ‘Merry Christmas’ is a bauble of festive pop fun, a neat and cohesive mixture of two smash hit artists.
With Elton recently cracking the Top 10 once more, the two could have an Advent chart phenomenon on their hands.
The lyrics are packed with Christmas joy, with the two singing:
“So kiss me under the mistletoe / Pour out the wine let’s toast and pray for December snow / I know there’s been pain this year but it’s time to let it go / Next year you never know, but for now, Merry Christmas.”
