Interview – On The Come Up: Baby Tate

Hailing from Decatur, Georgia, Baby Tate was born into the music industry. "I got into music pretty much when I got into life," Tate tells us in our latest episode of On The Come Up. Daughter of singer-songwriter Dionne Farris, Baby Tate explains that her unique upbringing had her around music very early in her life, however it wasn’t until age 13 that she started making music of her own.

Baby Tate’s released her debut EP ‘ROYGBIV’ in November of 2015, and garnered mainstream attention years later with her single "I Am" featuring Flo Milli. Now fresh off the release of her latest mixtape ‘Mani/Pedi,’ Baby Tate sits down with HotNewHipHop to discuss her entry into music, valuable lessons learned during her come-up, her debut project and more.
