YouTube Bans Joe Rogan Episode Over Nazi Germany Reference, COVID-19 Misinformation — Spotify Refuses to Censor

The episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ featured Dr. Robert Malone and was quickly removed by YouTube. The episode #1757 was shared to YouTube by a third-party, as Rogan’s contract with Spotify does not allow him up upload full episodes to YouTube anymore. The deletion occurred just hours after the upload appeared on the service.
In the episode, Dr. Robert Malone compared the current US public health climate to Germany in the 1920 and 1930s. Malone pointed to “free-floating anxiety” in both environments, while noting that this anxiety was addressed and channelled in Nazi Germany by a leader with a singular message. Malone claims he invented the mRNA technology used to develop the COVID-19 vaccines.
“Our government is out of control on this, and they are lawless,” Dr. Malone says in the now-deleted episode. “They completely disregard bioethics; they completely disregard the federal common rule, and they have broken all the rules that I know of that I’ve been trained on for years and years. These mandates of an experimental vaccine are explicitly illegal.”
YouTube has not addressed the deletion of the Joe Rogan episode directly at all.
But following a link to the deleted video shows it was removed for ‘violating’ the platform’s community guidelines. YouTube has rolled out a harsh no-tolerance policy on the spread of COVID-19 misinformation on the platform. But the comparisons to America and Nazi Germany likely didn’t help.
Some viewers are worried that YouTube is targeting the views of these rogue scientists that Rogan invites on his show. “YouTube has now removed the Joe Rogan interviews of both Dr. Robert Malone as well as Dr. Peter McCullough,” one supporter tweeted about the episode’s removal.
Texas congressman Troy Nehls even submitted a transcript of the YouTube banned Joe Rogan episode to Congress.
“Today, I submitted the transcript from the @joerogan experience podcast episode #1757 with Dr. Robert Malone to the Congressional Record,” Nehls tweeted. “Big tech wants to restrict your access to this information – but they cannot censor the Congressional Record.”
The banned Joe Rogan episode aired just one day after Twitter booted Malone from its platform for sharing more COVID-19 misinformation.
The episode is still available for streaming on Spotify’s platform. After removing a number of earlier episodes, the company seems to be avoiding the appearance of censoring the man they paid $100+ million to move to the platform exclusively.
