Zaery, a Sudanese organ player, composer, and songwriter, born in 1998. I began my musical journey in 2012 in Omdurman, Khartoum, Sudan, where I developed my artistic identity and passion for creating music. Today, I am dedicated to introducing Sudanese Zanig music to a global audience through original compositions, high-quality productions, and cross-cultural collaborations.
Music has always been one of the most powerful ways to introduce cultures to the world. Every globally recognised genre began as a local sound before reaching international audiences. As a Sudanese music producer, composer, arranger, pianist and organ player, my vision extends beyond creating music—I aim to introduce Zanig, Sudan’s contemporary youth music, to the global stage while preserving its authentic identity.
Rather than adapting Zanig to fit international trends, my goal is to present it with world-class production standards without losing the cultural roots that make it unique. I believe authentic music has the power to cross borders regardless of language, and Zanig deserves the opportunity to stand alongside other internationally recognised African genres.
A significant milestone in this journey was the release of my EP, Zyko, on 14 December 2025. More than a musical project, Zyko reflected my commitment to demonstrating that Sudanese youth music can achieve international production quality while remaining true to its heritage. It became an important step towards my broader mission of bringing Zanig to new audiences around the world.
Beyond music releases, I have continued to promote Zanig through international media coverage, collaborations and industry connections. Every article, feature and partnership helps increase awareness of Sudanese contemporary music and introduces listeners to a genre that remains largely undiscovered outside Africa.

My ambition is not limited to personal success. I hope that greater international recognition for Zanig will create opportunities for other Sudanese artists, producers and musicians. When one artist opens a door, others can follow, strengthening Sudan’s presence within the global music industry.
Today’s music landscape has become increasingly open to diverse cultural sounds. Genres from across Africa have shown that authentic local music can resonate with audiences worldwide. I believe Zanig possesses the same potential through its distinctive rhythms, youthful energy and rich cultural identity.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to expanding this mission through future releases, international collaborations and strategic partnerships. My objective is not only to export music, but also to share the story, creativity and evolution of Zanig with the world. By building bridges between Sudan and the international music industry.
