For years, Cleveland, Ohio rapper Mall Black has been one of the Midwest’s most respected underground voices. Long before becoming one-fifth of the Ohio hip-hop collective The Council 2432, Mall Black built a reputation as a relentless lyricist whose authenticity, consistency, and dedication to the culture earned him respect throughout the regional rap scene. Today, he proudly represents not only his hometown but also the brotherhood he now calls family.
As The Council 2432 continues to expand its national presence, Mall Black remains one of the group’s most recognizable personalities. His journey reflects the evolution of independent hip-hop—an artist who spent years grinding in the underground before finding success on larger stages without compromising his identity.
In 2025, Mall Black appeared on Power 105.1 FM in New York City, home of the world-famous The Breakfast Club, where he sat down with DJ Scenario to discuss the unity within The Council 2432. During the interview, Mall spoke candidly about the importance of loyalty, teamwork, and the management that he credits with helping guide the group’s success. His message centered on the belief that individual talent is amplified when artists operate as a true collective.

While in New York, Mall also stopped by iHeartRadio’s Party 101.9 for an appearance on The Empower Hour, where he delivered a standout freestyle that showcased the lyrical ability that has made him a respected name throughout Ohio’s hip-hop community.
At the time, The Council 2432 was preparing for an ambitious touring schedule that included a performance in Virginia Beach alongside legendary battle rapper Cassidy and members of the hit television series Wild ‘N Out. The performances continued to build momentum for the group as they introduced their music to audiences across multiple markets.
Mall Black has never been afraid to let fans see the more reflective side of his artistry. In a recent social media post, he wrote: “Random: Sometimes living with memories is just not enough.” The message resonated with supporters, offering a glimpse into the emotion and life experiences that often inspire his music.
Fast forward to 2026, and after extensive touring, festival appearances, countless live performances, and more than a thousand autographs signed for fans across the country, Mall Black returned to New York City alongside his Council 2432 teammates for a series of business meetings focused on the future of the group.

Those meetings resulted in The Council 2432 signing an imprint agreement with Dominion Hill Records, with the group’s recordings distributed through Roc Nation Distribution. The partnership represents another significant milestone in the group’s continued growth while maintaining the independent work ethic that helped build its loyal fan base.
The Council 2432’s debut album, A Dose of Reality, is available now on all major digital streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music. As the group continues to expand its national reach, Mall Black remains committed to representing Ohio with authenticity, lyricism, and a dedication to the culture that first inspired him.
