B2K has officially entered a new musical chapter. Exactly 25 years to the day after releasing their debut single, “Uh Huh,” the quartet consisting of Omarion, J-Boog, Raz B and Lil’ Fizz is back with “Mileage,” the first offering from their long-awaited album arriving this fall.
Produced by Ethos and co-written by Ant Clemons, “Mileage” instantly gives the group the mature sound that longtime fans have craved over the years, after outgrowing the teen-coded R&B of the early aughts. The track is smooth as freshly laid asphalt, paving way for the gents to profess an urgent desire to make love happen while dismissing whatever past baggage their partners may be carrying.
Omarion and J-Boog handle the lead vocals, while Lil’ Fizz delivers a slick bars alongside with Raz B’s background vocals. “Can we leave it in the past? / ‘Cause I don’t wanna talk about that / It’s more to life than holding back,” Omarion sings.
“Mileage” is accompanied by an official music video directed by Bobby Yan. Filmed in Los Angeles, the visual shows the group doing what they do best, delivering choreographed moves without missing a step. In between cuts, they get up close and personal with their respective leading lady.
Speaking on their musical return and new single, B2K said, “We’ve shared so many moments together over the years, but being back in the studio creating new music has been something truly special. ‘Mileage’ is just the beginning, and we’re excited to finally start sharing this next chapter with our fans.”
B2K previewed “Mileage” during their viral Verzuz battle with R&B-hip-hop group Pretty Ricky in June. The Boys of the New Millennium, who have toured on and off over the last few years, will release their new album, Eclipse, via BPC Music Group.
“B2K has always held a special place in the R&B landscape, and we’re proud to partner with them as they begin this next era,” said Troy Brown, co-founder of BPC Music Group. “The excitement surrounding their return has been incredible to witness, and ‘Mileage’ is the perfect introduction to what’s ahead. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the group and their fans.”
The group’s co-manager, Damuer H. Leffridge, added, “Legacies aren’t preserved by looking back—they’re expanded by continuing to create. ‘Mileage’ marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for B2K, one that reflects the group’s maturity, honors its extraordinary legacy, and reaffirms its place among the defining voices of R&B. This isn’t a reunion driven by nostalgia; it’s a resurgence driven by purpose, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to the fans who have carried this legacy for more than two decades.”
Eclipse will mark the group’s first album since 2003’s Pandemonium! which featured the No. 1 Hot 100 hit “Bump, Bump, Bump.”
