London based electronic composer Hinako Omori will release new album ‘a journey…’.
The producer aligns with Houndstooth for the release, with ‘a journey…’ set to hit home on March 18th.
Her first full length project, ‘a journey…’ will be accompanied by a very special show alongside London Contemporary Orchestra at the Southbank Centre on March 19th.
Ahead of this, Hinako Omori has unveiled drifting title track ‘A Journey’, a whispered incantation that melds together undulating electronics with soothing vocals.
A sonic balm, the piece is described as “a journey through the cartography of the mind, piecing together past events which seem to appear differently each time – revisiting memories, and healing cognitive distortions…”
Emi Takahashi crafts the visuals, which build on the dream-like atmosphere of Omori’s work. The director comments:
“The video is an ode to the lush and immersive soundscape. Inspired and guided by nature, the collected footage captures environmental glimpses that evoke fragments of personal memory. A risograph-printed analog treatment echoes the voice in fleeting moments.”
