Kanye West Threatens to Pull Out of Coachella Unless Billie Eilish Apologizes to Travis Scott — Eilish Quickly Declines

Kanye West has threatened to pull out of Coachella because he says Billie Eilish insulted Travis Scott.

Billie Eilish recently stopped her show to make sure a fan got medical attention. While waiting to make sure the fan was okay, Eilish told the crowd, “I wait for the people to be okay before I keep going.” West apparently took issue with these comments, which he perceived to be directed at Travis Scott and the Astroworld tragedy.

“Come on Billie we love you. Please apologize to Trav and to the families of the people who lost their lives. No one intended this to happen,” the rapper captioned his post on Instagram. Kanye West also added, “Trav didn’t have any idea of what was happening when he was on stage and was very hurt by what happened, and yes Trav will be with me at Coachella, but now I need Billie to apologize before I perform.”

Just a few hours after the Kanye West post on Instagram, Billie Eillish responded. “Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan,” Eilish writes.

Both Billie Eilish and Kanye West are the scheduled headliners for the Coachella festival in April. They are the replacements after Travis Scott was pulled from the Coachella line-up due to what happened at Astroworld.

Billie Eilish never directly mentioned Travis Scott, but live performers are being extra careful now. John Mayer stopped a small stage performance in Los Angeles last night to help a fan who had seemingly fainted. Mayer stopped singing in the middle of the set and got the fan medical attention. He took a short break with the band before coming back and letting the crowd know she was okay.

“Anyone in the crowd who was worried, I’m told she waved goodbye, so she’s okay. The system works, thank you very much,” Mayer added. Mayer then resumed playing his hits. Perhaps Kanye will refuse to perform with Mayer next over his comments about how stopping a show for medical attention works.
