Latest Music Industry Gigs: ADA, SESAC, Fanbase, SoundExchange, More

Here’s a recap of recent executive shuffles — including both hirings and in-house promotions — from across the music industry.

ADA

Warner Music Group’s ADA Worldwide has hired former Mass Appeal Entertainment CEO Marcus Siskind to serve as head of U.S., while former Columbia Records exec Adriana Sein has become head of international.

ADA has also brought on former Universal Music Group marketing exec Jeremy Sponder as VP of catalog, whereas The Orchard veteran Samantha Moore will become ADA president Cat Kreidich’s chief of staff. Finally, six-year WMG team member Kyle Aycock has been promoted to SVP of finance.

SESAC

Three-year SESAC president and COO Kelli Turner, who formally joined DoubleVerify’s board in April, has exited the Blackstone Group-owned PRO to pursue a “new opportunity outside music.”

28-year SESAC vet Scott Jungmichel is set to succeed Turner, whereas Sam Kling, a seven-year employee of the company, has been promoted to chief creative officer. Lastly, Shannan Hatch has rejoined SESAC as VP of creative services after an 18-month executive stint with Fourward.

Fanbase

Locker Room Agency founder GW Wright has become director of sports and athletics at Fanbase.

SoundExchange

Roughly 14-year SoundExchange legal professional Colin Rushing, who became chief legal officer in April of 2020, will step down at 2021’s end. Additionally, SoundExchange has promoted nearly 10-year team member Tim Dadson to general counsel, with Brieanne Jackson (who joined SoundExchange in late 2011) taking his place as deputy general counsel.

Spotify

Spotify has tapped former Paramount+ higher-up Julie McNamara to serve as head of U.S. studios and video.

Warner Chappell

Former Sony Music A&R director Santiago Menéndez-Pidal is scheduled to begin as Warner Chappell’s president of Southern Europe on October 1st, leading the music publisher’s Italian division while continuing to run Warner Chappell Spain.

Prager Metis

Prager Metis has hired entertainment-industry CPA Maren Stenseth as a principal.

RCA Records

RCA Records has upped former Sony Music marketing coordinator Val Pensa to SVP, head of marketing, and appointed Carolyn Williams to the newly created role of EVP.
