Blackpink’s Lisa Manobal is launching her own makeup collection with MAC Cosmetics.

“I curated the collection myself and designed every piece after things I absolutely love,” the rapper says. “Every shade, product, name, and even the packaging design represents something very special to me.”

The MAC x L collection features five different products, all of which Manobal chose herself. “The team and I put so much energy and attention to detail into this collection; I channeled the same passion, joy, and creativity that I give to making music into creating this exclusive collection for my fans.”

The rapper helped create new shades of the Powder Kiss Liquid lip colors included in the collection. That’s because the brand has been her go-to while performing on-stage and in music videos.

MAC Cosmetics x Lisa Manobal Makeup Collection

  • Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolor in six colors (three are unique)
    • Rhythm N’ Roses, Swoon for Blooms, & Pink Roses are Lisa-created colors
  • Brushstroke 24-hour Liner
  • Extra Dimension Skinfinish
  • Powder Blush
  • 12-piece Lisa Eyeshadow Palette

Lisa Manobal embracing a makeup collection shows just how lucrative branded merch opportunities can be.

Rihanna started her Fenty Beauty endeavor in 2017 and launched a line of 40 shades of foundation – setting the standard for diversity and inclusion that Lisa is following. That created the “Fenty Effect” in beauty, where customers expect brands to offer shades for every skin tone. Fenty Beauty’s sales hit $100 million in the first few weeks after launch, proving how lucrative the beauty industry could be for musicians turned entrepreneurs.

Every product in the MAC Cosmetics collection was created for consumers of all ages, races, and genders. “I am so proud of what we created together,” Manobal says of the collection. “This is my dream come true.”

It’s unclear if Lisa Manobal plans to branch out with her own beauty company – but a merch partnership is a great start. She’ll have some stiff competition, though, as Rihanna launched Fenty Skin last year in July after becoming a billionaire.
