2020 was an adventurous year for M.I.A., who caused a ruckus with Vogue before referencing the Assange case on her ‘CTRL’ single.
Set to land in 2022, ‘Mata’ is trailed by new single ‘Babylon’, which landed over the weekend.
Available in fill at ohmni.com, ‘Babylon’ was produced alongside Troy Baker and long-time collaborator Switch; the single is also available as an NFT.
Indeed, the NFT concept seems to be pricking the imagination of M.I.A. right now – her 2010 ‘Vicki Leekx’ tape is also being auctioned as a non-fungible token.
