Morgan Wallen Sells 700,000+ Dangerous Tour Tickets As 2022 Concert Schedule Continues to Fill Out

Fans have reportedly purchased north of 700,000 tickets to Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous Tour, with the vast majority of the country star’s 54 scheduled gigs having sold out despite next year’s crowded concert calendar.

The Dangerous Tour’s ticket-sale milestone came to light in reports from outlets including Hits Daily Double. Per the latter, Morgan Wallen – who announced his fast-approaching stadium tour in mid-November – has added additional performance dates for New York City’s Madison Square Garden and LA’s Crypto.com Arena, besides venues in Nashville, Atlanta, and Orange Beach.

And notwithstanding some fans’ criticism of “dynamic ticket pricing,” the 28-year-old has reportedly sold out 48 of the tour’s aforementioned 54 dates thus far. Given the concert series’ present momentum (as well as Wallen’s dedicated fanbase and corresponding commercial success), it seems likely that The Dangerous Tour will sell out entirely before it kicks off in Indiana on February 3rd, 2022.

In a testament to his continued popularity – and 2022’s quick-filling concert schedule, as noted – the Dangerous: The Double Album creator Morgan Wallen is set to remain on the road until late September, wrapping the long-running tour with a pair of gigs in the recently renamed Crypto.com Arena.

Needless to say, fans only have so much free time – and disposable income – and it’ll be worth following both points’ effects on the live-entertainment space in 2022. Live Nation head Michael Rapino previously indicated that his company had sold 22 million tickets to shows next year as of mid-October.

Since then, all manner of artists, including Jack Johnson, Olivia Rodrigo, HAIM, 5 Seconds of Summer, Eddie Vedder, Jazmine Sullivan, Snoh Aalegra, Darius Rucker, Brandi Carlile, Swedish House Mafia, and Coldplay, have announced or extended tours. (Adele, for her part, is poised to begin a Las Vegas residency in January.)

Solely regarding country music, New Zealand-born Keith Urban started December by adding 50 North American shows to his Speed of Now World Tour, which is expected to also take the 54-year-old to Oceania and Europe. Meanwhile, Dierks Bentley has bolstered his Beers On Me Tour with 21 more dates, whereas Reba McEntire has completed two of 25 dates on her ongoing tour, which is currently scheduled to run through late March.

Of course, the mentioned tours represent only a portion of 2022’s many planned concert series, and promoters are organizing a substantial number of music festivals as well. Especially considering the comparatively high cost of festival passes – and widespread demand’s impact on the price of admission for concerts – fans may become increasingly selective about the events that they attend.
