Yxng AVI has officially launched his latest album, Story Of My Life: Word Of Heart, a collection inspired by the artist’s experiences and dedication to being honest. Drawing on experiences that have played an important role in his life to date, AVI created an album that directly addresses loss, struggles, and the pursuit of self-respect and worthiness.
“Word of Heart” encapsulates AVI’s philosophy in his musical creations and style. “Word of heart means speaking the truth in my head,” he says. “So it allows me to create and write about things that I can relate to as well as other people.” He carries that mentality throughout the album, allowing him to remain authentic rather than someone he feels he needs to be.
Sonically, Story Of My Life: Word Of Heart features hip-hop tracks with melodic songwriting. Yxng AVI creates tracks based on feelings, beginning with beats that convey a particular emotion, then turning those emotions into song lyrics rooted in experience. The creative process comes organically, free-styling, editing, and recording to complete the track.
Probably one of the emotionally intense songs on the album is the last, “Memories Fade Away,” which was created after losing his grandfather. It was not easy for him to put his feelings into words, as he admits, “That was the hardest for me to write.” But the outcome of it can be seen in this song, one of the album’s honest compositions. The sound quality and vocal performance have changed greatly compared to AVI’s past albums. As a young artist, he could not have had the level of experience he has now. The years of work and practice allowed him to master software such as FL Studio and Pro Tools. That helped him in achieving a different level of control in his delivery.
Being an album of this kind, Story Of My Life: Word Of Heart is based on storytelling, and each of its songs represents a part of the whole story of life. Talking about the album, AVI states that he approached it “more as a storyteller, as someone who tries to keep things realistic and truthful.”
AVI’s album carries a message of transformation at its core and hopes listeners take away the idea that struggles can be turned into something meaningful. “People can turn their greatest struggles and losses into wins,” he explains, pointing toward a mindset that values individuality over acceptance.
With Story Of My Life: Word Of Heart, Yxng AVI establishes a clear direction for what comes next. The album marks the beginning of a larger body of work still to come, built on continued growth and a commitment to telling his story without compromise.
