Usher personally laughed off wild MetLife Stadium rumors that a clone or stunt double performed several songs during The R&B Tour.
Usher Has A Clone? MetLife Fans Demand Answers After Bizarre Concert Rumor
Usher apparently performed so suspiciously at MetLife Stadium in New York that some fans decided the man onstage could not possibly be Usher.
Did I really just type that? Whoa.
The Internet has given us another mystery nobody knew we needed. After Friday night’s opening date of The R&B Tour at MetLife Stadium, videos began the craziest rumors. Some concertgoers decided to claim somebody other than Usher performed several of his songs. Oh?

Yes, people are alleging an Usher stunt double entered the chat. I have not heard something like this since MF DOOM.
Some fans went even further and started talking about refunds! What the? They said they paid to see the real Usher Raymond IV, not Usher Raymond 3.7. Some of them went farther and said Temu Usher came to the show.
Come on, people!
The speculation apparently grew because certain clips shot from a distance had viewers questioning the performer’s appearance. He also had a hat that covered his face and head. Then closer footage began circulating, supposedly offering the visual receipts needed to solve this great American mystery.
And guess who eventually entered the investigation?
Usher.
The man himself jumped into the comments and addressed the increasingly hilarious conspiracy theory.
“Y’all are funny. Clone? They can’t clone this.”
That should have ended it, right?
Nope. Usher apparently had another one ready.
“How y’all come up with this? AI ain’t that advanced.”
HAHAHAHA!
Now that is funny, especially considering how rapidly AI has invaded music, movies, social media and practically everything else. Technology can imitate voices, manufacture images and create digital humans, but Usher said science has not figured out how to manufacture all that Raymond.
Case closed?
Maybe.
Six more tabs and this is going to be another rumor.
I have watched enough concert footage over the years to know lighting, camera angles, distance and gigantic stadium screens can make performers look completely different. MetLife is also enormous. If you are sitting somewhere near the New Jersey Turnpike, Usher might look like Kevin Hart. LOL!
But demanding a refund because you believe Usher deployed a secret Usher?
That is elite 2026 behavior.
If somebody produces evidence of two Ushers standing together, call me.
Until then, I am riding with Raymond.
