Boosie Badazz paid $600K for a Trump pardon that never materialized and now he’s suing the operatives who took his money.
Boosie Badazz is out $600,000 and he’s not taking it lying down.
The rapper filed a lawsuit against political operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman after they promised to secure him a presidential pardon from Trump, collected the cash, and delivered absolutely nothing.
According to the situation, Boosie handed over the money last fall after the two operatives pitched themselves as having serious connections inside Trump’s orbit, acting like they had POTUS on speed dial.
The deal fell apart fast.
On New Year’s Day, Boosie’s lawyer got a call claiming Trump had already signed the pardon and the White House just hadn’t announced it yet.
That pardon never surfaced, and now Boosie’s trying to recover $300,000 under a refund clause in the contract that required half the fee be returned if no pardon was delivered.
Wohl and Burkman are refusing to pay, claiming the refund agreement never existed and their firm is effectively broke after millions in fines tied to past legal troubles.
According to TMZ, a White House official flatly denied the duo had any role in the pardon process, saying the clemency team had never heard from either of them and warning their involvement would actually hurt someone’s chances of getting a pardon.
Burkman told TMZ they worked extremely hard on the case, but Boosie’s quest became much tougher after an arrest for an alleged crime of violence in Texas earlier this year.
Boosie needed that pardon because of his federal gun possession case.
He was sentenced to time served in January 2026 after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, a charge stemming from a 2023 arrest in San Diego.
He’s still hopeful a separate pardon application filed directly with the White House will eventually succeed, but his immediate legal battle is getting his money back from the operatives who promised the world and delivered nothing.
The timing is particularly frustrating for Boosie because Trump recently issued another round of pardons that excluded both him and Diddy.
