Flee Lord says he beat a heart attack after doctors successfully treated a blocked artery with a wrist-inserted stent, avoiding open-heart surgery and leaving no permanent heart damage.
New York rap overlord Flee Lord survived a heart attack and is now recovering.
Doctors successfully treated the blockage without the need for open-heart surgery, which he initially thought was the only remedy. Now the giving the underground artist has a new, positive outlook after a frightening medical emergency.
The rapper revealed the health scare in an Instagram update, telling supporters he had “beat a heart attack” while making it clear he is now prioritizing his health.

Although there was speculation that he would require open-heart surgery, Flee Lord clarified that his cardiovascular surgeon inserted a stent through his wrist to open the blocked artery. This restored healthy blood flow without the need for major surgery.
Open-heart surgery was discussed only as a contingency plan if the initial procedure failed. The stent placement was successful and he posted the visuals of it in his wrist.
Also, an echocardiogram showed there was no permanent damage to his heart, allowing him to begin recovery with standard physical therapy.
Flee Lord has also been mourning the loss of his father along with two close friends in a relatively short period of time. He has continued creating music, despite the losses.
The Far Rockaway native recently released his latest full-length album, Everything I Never Said, featuring songs including “Coinless” and “Floor Seats.” He also joined forces with Tiona Deniece for the collaborative project Mask & Glove.
Outside of recording, Flee Lord continues building LordMobb, the independent label and LLC he has developed into a platform for both established and emerging underground artists. The collective has become a staple of New York’s independent Hip-Hop scene.
For now, the biggest victory is making it through the harrowing experience of surviving a heart attack and avoiding open-heart surgery.
