Memphis rapper Key Glock has officially released his long-awaited album Project X, delivering a 20-track project that leans into his signature confidence while embracing a more celebratory and carefree energy. Released last week through Paper Route Empire and Republic Records, the album features standout records including “Face Down,” “Big 5,” “Go” and “Loco,” the latter of which had already generated millions of streams ahead of the project’s arrival. Built around booming production and Glock’s unmistakable Memphis style, Project X arrives after months of anticipation fueled by fan listening events, exclusive activations and a nationwide promotional rollout.
The release also carries added emotional weight following the recent passing of Memphis hitmaker Tay Keith, whose impact is felt throughout the album and all across the airwaves since his initial introduction into the industry. A longtime friend and collaborator of Key Glock, Tay Keith produced several songs on Project X, including the lead single “Face Down,” making the project a fitting tribute to one of the architects of Memphis’ modern sound.
Alongside production from King Wonka, Honorable C.N.O.T.E. and Oh Ross, the album continues Glock’s momentum after the commercial success of Glockaveli: All Eyez On Key. As fans celebrate the new release, Project X also stands as a reminder of the lasting creative partnership between Glock and Tay Keith and the musical legacy they built together.
