Nancy Grace revives Diddy’s Cassie apology as his prison fight, changing release date and $8 million defense bill make news.
Nancy Grace is roasting Diddy again, turning his old Cassie apology and latest prison trouble into a savage social-media routine.
The former prosecutor opened her video with Diddy responding to surveillance footage that showed him assaulting Cassie Ventura in 2016.
“I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry,” Diddy said before Grace cut in and treated the old apology as fresh jailhouse pleading.
“Oh, was that Diddy again begging for forgiveness? Again? Oh, Diddy, Diddy, Diddy, at it again,” Grace said. “You’re disgusted. I’m disgusted that even though you’re back in the hole, solitary at Fort Dix again, that you’re still getting out early. Still begging.”

Calling him #ittybittydiddy is a reference to unconfirmed reports that Diddy’s package is the size of a small Tootsie Roll, which may have fueled his need to involve other men with his women, because he supposedly could not satisfy them in bed.
Her contempt has history because Grace strongly opposed the 2025 verdict that cleared Diddy of racketeering conspiracy and both sex-trafficking charges.
“I’m shattered. I feel like I got kicked in the stomach and in the teeth,” Grace said after jurors returned their decision. “And I’m sure that makes all of Sean Combs’ aka Diddy’s followers happy.”
Grace also maintained that Cassie’s testimony proved more than the jury accepted, explaining why her Diddy coverage remains so personal and aggressive.
“I still believe Cassie. I do,” Grace said. “I think she was raped. I think she was beaten and forced to go back into freak offs. I will go to my grave thinking that happened.”
While Grace sharpened her jokes, Diddy remained in the media because his first reported physical prison confrontation brought new discipline and questions.
Another inmate allegedly insulted Diddy before both men exchanged shoves and punches at FCI Fort Dix, where guards quickly separated them.
Diddy reportedly “held his own,” while an unconfirmed account claimed he choked the prisoner before officials placed both men in solitary confinement.
That confrontation arrived during a confusing series of release adjustments, although federal officials never publicly connected his punishment with the revised dates.
The Bureau of Prisons briefly moved his release from February 23 to January 24 before restoring February 20, 2028, as the current date.
Yet prison discipline may be cheaper than Diddy’s courtroom survival, because his criminal defense reportedly carried an extraordinary multimillion-dollar price.
Sources told TMZ that Diddy paid between $7 million and $8 million to trial and appellate lawyers beginning with his September 2024 arrest.
The investment helped Diddy avoid potential life imprisonment, although jurors convicted him on two Mann Act counts and a judge imposed 50 months.
Diddy’s appeal remains before the Second Circuit after judges heard arguments challenging his conviction and sentence on April 9, 2026.
