Gloss Up is in surgery after a car crash, and her team says doctors are fighting to save her foot, not remove it.
Gloss Up survived a serious car accident that left her with a severe foot injury and doctors racing to save it. Her management posted a statement to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, clearing up confusion after her own story suggested the foot had already been amputated.

The team said she’s heavily medicated and in surgery, and the amputation claim came from her own pain-clouded read on the situation.
Gloss Up’s camp made clear the injury hasn’t reached that point.
“To clarify: her foot has NOT been amputated,” the statement read, adding that surgeons are actively working to treat and save it. Management asked fans to keep her and her medical team in their thoughts as she works through recovery.

The accident lands at a moment when Gloss Up’s riding real momentum in her career. The Memphis native dropped “Inferno” with producer Dubba-AA back in January. The eight-song project is built entirely around his beats and features a guest verse from YFN Lucci.
Gloss Up got her start writing rhymes as a kid in South Memphis before grinding through local talent shows and open mics.
She linked up early with fellow Memphis rapper GloRilla, a bond that traces back to their come-up years before either had a record deal. That friendship helped push her debut mixtape, “Different Shades of Gloss,” out into the world back in 2019.
Quality Control signed Gloss Up in 2023, and the label put out “Before the Gloss Up” and “Shades of Gloss” that same year.
She followed those up with 2024’s “Not Ya Girl: Act 1,” a project that leaned on guest spots from Jacquees, Hunxho and Skilla Baby. That run of tapes built her into one of the more consistent voices coming out of the Memphis scene.
Gloss Up has built all of that into a real following, with over a million people tracking her on Instagram alone.
She’s also stayed in headlines for reasons beyond the music, including her Instagram back-and-forth over her rumored fling with Hunxho. She rounded out last year with a stint on the reality series “Baddies Gone Wild.”
Her management hasn’t said when Gloss Up will be released from the hospital or how long her recovery is expected to take.
