In an era where ownership and innovation have become the ultimate currency, Summer Grays is quietly building an empire that stretches from healthcare to technology and media.
The Indiana-based entrepreneur has established herself as a formidable business leader through her work as founder and owner of Summer G Medical Groups, where she oversees a multi-million-dollar hospice care network serving communities throughout the state. While healthcare may seem worlds apart from entertainment and technology, Grays has approached each venture with the same entrepreneurial mindset: identify a need, create a solution, and build something that serves people.
That philosophy led to the creation of My Butler AL, a technology platform designed for today’s entrepreneurs, professionals, and content creators. More than a traditional social media app, My Butler AL combines private networking, secure communication, and concierge-style productivity tools into a single ecosystem aimed at helping users maintain greater control over their digital lives.
For Grays, the mission is especially relevant in an era when creators are increasingly searching for platforms that prioritize privacy, ownership, and meaningful engagement over algorithms and oversharing. The platform’s early rollout generated significant buzz following a celebrity-hosted launch event in Los Angeles attended by entertainment personalities including stars like Blac Chyna, Princess Love, Yandy Smith, and Quad Webb.
Beyond business, Grays has expanded her public profile through her role on Indy Bosses, where she serves as both a cast member and co-executive director. The series offers viewers a look into the realities of entrepreneurship while highlighting the successes and challenges faced by women building businesses at a high level.
Whether she’s leading healthcare organizations, developing technology solutions, or helping shape media narratives, Summer Grays continues to position herself at the forefront of modern entrepreneurship. Her story is one of vision, execution, and a commitment to creating opportunities—not only for herself, but for the communities, professionals, and creators she serves.
Summer Grays is not your typical tech founder. While many startup CEOs come from Silicon Valley backgrounds, she built her business reputation in healthcare, operating primary care centers, hospice services and other medical ventures. Her entry into technology came from frustration. According to Grays, repeated suspensions from mainstream social platforms during the heated political and social climate surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter movement inspired her to create something different.
During a lively and often hilarious conversation with DJ Thoro, Grays discussed it all, including her confidence, ambition and opinions.
AllHipHop: First things first, introduce yourself.
Summer Grays: I’m Summer Grays. I am founder of the My Butler AI social media app and I’m also into healthcare.
AllHipHop: What inspired My Butler AI?
Summer Grays: The whole social media thing came about because during COVID and Black Lives Matter, I constantly was getting my account suspended and kicked off Facebook because I was saying how I felt. I got kicked off Facebook, Twitter, all of it.
The last time I got kicked off, I got so p##### off I actually emailed Zuckerberg. I said, and I quote, “Forget you. I’m going to get my own app.” And that’s exactly what I did.
AllHipHop: So this platform is built around free speech?
Summer Grays: That’s correct. No censorship.
My daughter jokes that Trump could get on there and start talking crazy. I tell her that’s fine. As long as he can take what I’m going to say back, he’s welcome to do it. It goes both ways.
AllHipHop: How long did it take to build?
Summer Grays: About three years. The first year was really me researching what could make it different from Facebook. I looked at people complaining about getting kicked off platforms, losing accounts, dealing with algorithms and shadow bans.
Then I started thinking bigger. Since I’m in healthcare, I wanted more than just another social media app.
AllHipHop: What makes it different?
Summer Grays: We’re adding telehealth. If you’re not feeling well, eventually you’ll be able to hit a button and connect with a doctor or nurse practitioner and even have medication sent to your local pharmacy.
We’re also adding mental health services. So I’m building something that’s much more than just social media.
AllHipHop: I have to ask. Why a butler?
Summer Grays: Because eventually AI should be able to do everything for you. Make reservations, handle tasks, connect services. It’s meant to be your personal butler.
Plus, let’s be honest. A girl like me likes a butler. I need a butler. Who doesn’t want a butler? A butler does more for you than an assistant.
AllHipHop: Fair enough.
Summer Grays: And for the record, my butler ain’t Black, boo. (laughs)
AllHipHop: One complaint people have with social media is that platforms limit reach unless creators pay.
Summer Grays: Exactly.
If you have 100,000 followers and post something, a lot of platforms only show it to a small percentage of your audience because they want you to buy ads.
I don’t do shadow banning. I don’t do any of that.
Verification on my platform is inexpensive. Advertising is inexpensive. I want to put the power back into people’s hands.
AllHipHop: So there are no rules?
Summer Grays: There are rules.
You can’t go on there talking about killing people or blowing things up. Accounts will get flagged for that. But outside of threats and criminal behavior, I’m trying to allow people to express themselves.
AllHipHop: What about concerns over bullying?
Summer Grays: Honestly, I think a lot of that falls on parents. I do have safeguards, but parents need to monitor their children too.
AllHipHop: You keep mentioning healthcare. What exactly do you own?
Summer Grays: I own a primary care center in Indianapolis. I also own a med spa and a hospice in Indianapolis. I also own LA Hospice and Home Health.
I work all the time. Literally all the time.
AllHipHop: Hospice work isn’t easy.
Summer Grays: No, you’ve got to love it. It’s end-of-life care and that can be difficult.
AllHipHop: How do you screen employees?
Summer Grays: We do FBI background checks and fingerprint checks.
I have zero tolerance for abuse. If you have certain criminal issues on your record, I don’t hire you. My responsibility is protecting patients.
AllHipHop: What’s next?
Summer Grays: Another app. I’m not telling anybody what it is, though.
I also have a few other technology projects I’m working on, and I’m expanding the medical side of the business. I want physical hospice locations and eventually a durable medical equipment company.
I’m definitely expanding the empire.
AllHipHop: New York in your future?
Summer Grays: I’ve actually been approached about New York and I’ve started exploring it. I haven’t looked into all the licensing requirements yet, but it’s definitely something I’m considering.
AllHipHop: Tell us about the launch event.
Summer Grays: We had a huge launch party in Los Angeles. It was also my birthday.
I’m on a reality show called Indy Bosses and I’m also an executive producer. My castmates came out, along with people like Blac Chyna, Princess Love, Yandy Smith and Quad.
It was a beautiful event.
Summer Grays: I try not to be, but I was played with.
