Drake is still putting serious numbers on the board and he’s back rapping in Spanish. Buddy really has the game on freeze. How do you say ICEMAN season in Español? Jajaja.
But the other story is how the the 6God ranked as Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the United States yesterday, finishing ahead of Ariana Grande even as she rolls out a newly released album. It is another marker in what has already become a massive streaming year for Drake following his May 15 triple-album release of ICEMAN, Habibti and Maid of Honour.
Like we said, ICEMAN season.
That 43-track flood of new music helped Drake secure the biggest single-day Spotify streaming total for any artist in 2026, with listeners pushing the projects across both U.S. and global charts. Online fan discussions have largely pointed to the sheer volume and range of the triple release as the engine behind those numbers.
Now Drake is adding another lane to the run.
He officially joins Colombian superstar Karol G on “Ahí,” released August 7 as the fourth track on her sixth studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto.
Keeping it a bean, Ahi is a vibe but I really want to hear this outside. Maybe with some top shelf tequila blanco, surrounded by good company. On a yacht. Just saying, that’s the vibe I get.
Onto the production … Produced by Karol G and Ovy On The Drums, the summery record blends reggaetón with Afrobeats-inspired rhythms. Drake handles a pre-chorus, layered chorus vocals, a brief bridge and an outro delivered partly in Spanish. Songwriting credits include Karol G, Drake, KEITYN and Ovy On The Drums.
Now get this, the collab also creates a direct bridge back to Maid of Honour. During the closing moments of “Ahí,” Drake revisits material from “New Bestie,” repurposing his “I want a Latina” lines for the Karol G record.
For Drake, the timing keeps the momentum moving. One day he is sitting atop U.S. Spotify streams. The next, he is expanding the run with one of Latin music’s biggest stars. Shoutout to Karol G too. She literally OWNS her lane. Like on an island, by herself.
