Travis Scott faces a civil lawsuit from yacht workers claiming he assaulted them during a chaotic 2024 Miami charter that left crew members injured.
Travis Scott is now facing a civil lawsuit from yacht workers and marina staff who claim he turned a luxury Miami charter into a violent confrontation that left them injured and traumatized.
The crew members are seeking damages for battery, assault, and false imprisonment after the alleged incident in 2024.
According to court documents, the situation began when Travis demanded to operate a jet ski during the charter, but the captain refused because he appeared intoxicated.
Rather than accept the decision, Travis ordered the vessel to a nearby marina, then jumped onto the dock, abandoning his guests on the boat for about half an hour.
When he returned, tensions escalated immediately.
The lawsuit details how Travis allegedly became physically aggressive with the captain, making death threats and telling him he was “dead.”
His own security team initially tried to de-escalate the situation, but Travis fired the guard right there on the spot. What happened next involved multiple crew members who rushed to help, only to become targets themselves.
The workers claim Travis assaulted them as they attempted to leave the vessel.
One woman was allegedly struck so hard that she crashed into a table and sustained injuries. The plaintiffs also allege that Travis physically blocked them from exiting the boat until police arrived and removed him from the scene.
According to TMZ, the crew is now pursuing legal action for the physical harm and emotional distress they endured.
This civil case represents a significant escalation from the criminal charges that were initially filed.
Travis Scott previously faced disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges after the incident, but prosecutors dropped those charges before trial.
The yacht workers, however, aren’t letting the matter rest and have decided to pursue their claims in civil court, where the burden of proof is lower.
The damages being sought include compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
The lawsuit names multiple defendants and seeks to hold Travis accountable for the alleged assault and false imprisonment that occurred during those chaotic hours on the water.
Travis’ representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the civil filing.
