50 Cent turned Tyrese Haliburton’s wedding into a victory lap by performing “I Get Money” as the NBA star taunted New York.
Haliburton and longtime partner Jade Jones celebrated Saturday, August 1, after completing their legal marriage at an Indiana courthouse in July.
Video showed the newlyweds joining 50 Cent onstage while Haliburton loudly emphasized the record’s famous “I run New York” line.

The moment carried extra sting because Haliburton’s Indiana Pacers eliminated the Knicks from the 2024 and 2025 NBA playoffs.
The performance also extended the relationship beyond music, as 50 Cent’s Sire Spirits maintains a partnership with Pacers Sports & Entertainment.
No credible source disclosed Haliburton’s price, but 50 Cent has openly described concert checks approaching seven figures.
“I’m getting like $900,000, $1 million,” 50 Cent told Billboard in 2023. “The coolest thing we create in America is celebrities.”
“I get the attention that I want from music when I want it,” he added. “I just went out and toured 45 countries, and everywhere was sold out.”
That earning power resurfaced again on July 3, when 50 Cent performed at Executive Branch, Donald Trump Jr.’s private Georgetown club.
The invitation-only venue reportedly charges $500,000 annually and has also booked Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule and Timbaland for members.
That booking followed 50 Cent’s claim that he rejected $3 million to perform at President Donald Trump’s 2024 Madison Square Garden rally.
“I’m afraid about politics,” he explained then. “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”
Private checks have followed 50 Cent throughout his career, long before arena tours became a nine-figure business for veteran rappers.
In 2005, he performed at Elizabeth Brooks’ star-packed bat mitzvah inside New York’s Rainbow Room, reportedly collecting about $500,000 for four songs.
The entire celebration reportedly cost $10 million and featured Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Don Henley, Ciara and Kenny G.
Booking marketplaces now advertise 50 Cent for weddings, birthdays and corporate gatherings, with one agency estimating private appearances between $750,000 and $1.09 million.
Haliburton is expected back for the 2026-27 NBA season after missing last year while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.
