The timing has people talking: 50 Cent, Donald Trump, and Diddy’s failed pardon are now part of one of Hip-Hop’s most intriguing rumors.
Did 50 Cent play a behind-the-scenes role in Sean “Diddy” Combs losing any chance at a presidential pardon? That’s the question making the rounds online, even though there is no evidence proving it happened.
This is speculation, but a hot rumor nevertheless.
We all know 50 Cent has been one of Diddy’s loudest, most relentless critics. He’s taken more shots at the Bad Boy founder than Sonny in The Godfather. Through social media, interviews, a Netflix documentary…and more…all at Diddy. 50 never misses an opportunity to clown his longtime adversary.

Now another wrinkle has entered the conversation.
Reports have circulated that 50 Cent recently performed at an exclusive club tied to Donald Trump Jr. While details remain scarce, there has not been a public denial from anyone involved. 50 definitely promoted the event, and yet he was shy of anything more than that. If the performance did happen, it becomings a “thing that makes ya go hmmmmm.” 50 previously turned down President Donald Trump during his election.
But timing is everything.
President Trump acknowledged that he would at least consider reviewing the possibility of a pardon for Diddy after saying he wouldn’t. Ultimately, no pardon materialized. So what changed? Was he playing games?
That’s the question! Or did somebody change his mind?
Some people have wondered whether 50 Cent – hater of Diddy and apparent proximity to the Trump’s family – could have influenced the conversation in some way. Could there have been a recommendation? Was there a private discussion? Maybe a note, by bird?
There is absolutely no public evidence supporting any of those theories. Not even the bird.
Could 50 Cent have the President’s ear? Maybe. Plenty of celebrities have relationships with politicians. There are many reasons why a presidential pardon may or may not happen, keeping it real. I think Diddy popping off back in the day is the main reason. Trump has a soft spot for most criminally active Hip-Hop people.
For now, Diddy continues to wake up in prison, while 50 Cent keeps his rival’s name in the headlines.
