Sexyy Red sues her security guard for $500K after a masked burglar steals jewelry and designer bags during her mom’s Florida birthday party.
Sexyy Red is locked in a legal battle over a half-million-dollar heist that happened during her mother’s birthday celebration in Florida.
The St. Louis rapper filed a lawsuit claiming more than $500,000 worth of jewelry, designer handbags, watches, and luxury items were stolen from a rented mansion on January 12, 2025, when a masked individual slipped through an unlocked door.
She’s pointing the finger directly at her security team, specifically naming Carl Thompson as the person responsible for the breach.
According to the filing, Sexyy Red hired Thompson and his security crew to protect the property during the retreat.
Police investigated the burglary and determined that a door had been left unsecured, allowing the suspect to enter and steal necklaces, bracelets, rings, charms, watches, and high-end bags.
Thompson was allegedly the last member of the security detail to leave the premises before the theft occurred, and Sexyy Red is holding him accountable for the lapse.
The situation gets messier because Thompson had already filed his own lawsuit against Sexyy Red back in August 2025.
He claimed he worked as her personal security guard from May 2023 through December 2024 under a contract worth $180,000 annually and alleged he was underpaid.
Thompson said he received approximately $204,000 when he should have been paid closer to $285,000, so he sued to recover the difference.
Sexyy Red denied those allegations and fired back with her countersuit, arguing that Thompson’s security failures directly led to the Florida burglary.
According to TMZ, the rapper is seeking more than $500,000 in damages from Thompson. The case remains ongoing with no arrests announced in connection with the reported theft.
What started as a family celebration has now evolved into a courtroom fight involving missing luxury items, disputed employment claims, and competing lawsuits that could take months to resolve.
The civil litigation between the two sides continues to develop as both parties prepare their legal arguments.
