The collaboration came together organically during Nef The Pharaoh’s visit to Chico, California, where he was in town for a performance and to film the music video for “The One” with Reese Weil and Cotati7z. Reese had written the hook and developed the foundation for “Money” just hours before Nef arrived. Produced by Dana Hocking, the session quickly turned into lightning in a bottle as Nef stepped into the booth and delivered his verse within minutes. The result is a natural chemistry between Reese Weil’s melodic songwriting and Nef The Pharaoh’s unmistakable Bay Area swagger, creating a record that feels both personal and instantly memorable.
